a place to gather and grow

What does Rural Heart mean?

It’s the heart that longs for living intentionally and simplified even in the middle of the chaos of our modern world. It’s the woman’s heart who longs for a safe place to be heard exactly where she is without judgement! A rural at heart woman desires a community of other women who get her. We know we speak a “different language” than the rest of the world. Our goal is to have a community where we can talk about things like hen scratch, family recipes, cattle prices, raising unplugged kids and our relationship with the Lord in the same place!

We Believe…

God created us to live in fellowship and community. At Her Rural Heart we’re grateful for all the women who come alongside and help sharpen each other!

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)

God created women unique. He’s gifted her with strong hands and a soft heart. As women, we’re each equipped with special talents, personalities and strengths. When we celebrate those differences and lift each other up we glorify God!

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (NIV)

God calls us to love people and be the hands and feet of Jesus while not conforming to the world. As Her Rural Heart women we get to meet people where they are and let them see Jesus in us.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 (ESV)
